Palamera's men's denim collection includes straight-leg and slim jeans, baggy and wide-leg cuts, distressed and paint-splatter finishes, and raw selvedge styles. Each pair is made to the same specification as the boutique jean, using the same denim weight and hardware, finished by hand and priced below retail.
Reading a pair of designer jeans
Denim weight is given in ounces. A 10 to 12 oz denim is light and comfortable from the first wear. A 13 to 14 oz denim is the standard for a jean that holds its shape. Above 15 oz the denim is stiff at first and breaks in over weeks, which is what gives raw denim its character. Check the rivets, the chain-stitched hem and the leather or jacquard patch at the back; these are the details inspected before a pair ships.
Fit and sizing
Jeans are listed by waist in inches with the inseam on each product page. Slim and straight fits should be bought in your true waist size. Baggy and wide-leg cuts are designed to sit lower, so some people size down for the intended drape. Stretch denim gives half a size with wear; rigid denim does not.
